Discovery Exercise (#9) : Technorati

Technorati is awesome. I never knew blogs are being tracked.

I went into Blog Directory and saw how blogs being categorised into different groups. WOW!
*Web 2.0 is grouped under Technology*
I signed up for Technorati and claimed my blog.
Guess what?!?! My blog ranked 3,194,167th.
And I get to see the number of fans or authorities voted for a particular blog.

There is a big difference resulted for the phrase "learning 2.0" from the search of blog post and tags.

Results:

540 results tagged learning 2.0

22,858 blog posts for learning 2.0

Web 2.0 is in the Top 100 tags in the Popular tab.

Technorati Popular: Books, DVDs and music CDs
"The books, DVDs and music CDs people are talking right now"
I reckon this is helpful for our libraries for purchasing books, DVDs and music CDs.
